Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is a central nervous system disease that causes progressive muscle weakness throughout the body.

As Genentech prepared to bring a new SMA treatment to market, we at DDB Health created dual campaigns. The first was an unbranded campaign to raise awareness about crucial and widespread protein deficits in people with SMA.
